Chairs' Chat: Psychiatrist's Leadership of Care

Welcome to  Our Inaugural Session of the AACDP Virtual Chairs' Chat on Nov. 10 at 5:00 pm (EST).

AACDP officers, Dr. Robert Trestman and Dr. Jimmy Potash will present on and solicit feedback on the APA proposal shaping the future of psychiatric care as the APA seeks to define psychiatry's role in clinical and system transformation that supports broader access to quality mental health care.

As we get started, the Chairs' Chat member feature for chairs and vice chair members, initial schedule will be quarterly sessions on the second Tuesday of the months of January, April, July, and October in 2027 as virtual sessions and an open forum to discuss topics that are relevant and important to you.

The format will vary - some sessions will be topic specific like this first session, others will be open to whatever is on your mind, something that recently appeared on the listserv or a matter that arose in your department in the last 24 hours. Members decide how to maximize this time to gather information, collect data, or learn from others' experiences. 

As the Virtual Chairs' Chat grows, additional meetings can be added to the schedule if needed or helpful.  Topic suggestions are welcome.  Please email exec@aacdp.org.
